Bolivia: Hailstorms affect potato crops and other production in municipalities in Potosí

Hailstorms have already caused damage to crops, according to the Governor’s report, which verified that communities were hit by the intensity of the hail, destroying crops.

The head of risk management for the Governor’s Office, Delfín Torres, reports that five municipalities in the Department of Potosí have been affected by hailstorms.

Last week, hail was present in communities in Cotagaita, Sacaca, San Pedro de Buena Vista, as well as Colquechaca and Pocoata.

More than 300 families were affected because their production of potatoes , corn, oca, among others was affected.
