Poland: Significant price increase for new potatoes
At Warsaw’s Bronisze wholesale market, domestic potatoes are priced between EUR 0.24 and EUR 0.49 per kilogram.

Imported potatoes are slightly pricier, with prices ranging from EUR 0.37 to EUR 0.73 per kilogram. Prices for the IRGA and IRIS varieties range from EUR 0.39 to EUR 0.49 per kilogram. Imported early potatoes cost between EUR 0.54 and EUR 0.99 per kilogram.
In Poznań (WGRO), the prices for potatoes range from EUR 2.51 to EUR 3.77 for a 15 kg sack, which corresponds to a price per kilogram of EUR 0.17 to EUR 0.25. Early potatoes are sold in 20 kg bags for EUR 16.75–18.85, which corresponds to a price of EUR 0.84–0.94 per kilogram.
On the Wroclaw market, Targpiast, prices for imported early potatoes from Greece vary between EUR 0.63 and EUR 0.98 per kilogram. Domestic potatoes are significantly cheaper and cost between EUR 0.21 and EUR 0.31 per kilogram.
In Kalisz (Gielda Kaliska), prices for imported potatoes have fallen by 16.7 percent and now range from EUR 0.73 to EUR 0.84 per kilogram. Domestic potatoes are offered in 15 kg bags, which corresponds to a price of EUR 0.25 to EUR 0.36 per kilogram.
In Sandomierz (Targowiska Miejskie), domestic potatoes cost between EUR 0.21 and EUR 0.25 per kilogram. It is worth noting the sharp increase in the price of early potatoes, which now cost EUR 0.80 per kilogram, an increase of 300 percent.
