Países Bajos: Innovator and Agria pull Fontane up in potato quotation

he potato growers are dealing with major differences this season. It is a push and pull. Where there is pushing due to quality problems or temporary storage, considerably lower prices can be negotiated than where batches are more difficult to buy. The current price increases are attributed to the disappointing quantities of potatoes that are being loaded from the shed. This is the case in the South of the Netherlands, but certainly also in Belgium, Germany and France.

PotatoNL increases the listing of potatoes suitable for chips by 2.25 euros to 25 to 36 euros per 100 kilos. The difference of 11 euros between the top and bottom is explained by the demand for Innovator. Prices for this variety are paid from 28 to 36 euros, delivered immediately. Fontane is also pulled up and increases by 3 euros to 25 to 30 euros per 100 kilos.

Biggest differences at Agria

The biggest price differences are seen in the Agria variety group. The good quality for fresh fries and peeling companies climbs to 40 euros per 100 kilos. On the other hand, the slightly lesser potatoes in this group go to the large processors for around 30 euros per 100 kilos.

Belgapom and the German Reka-Rheinland kept their prices unchanged last Friday. Belgapom is listing 25 euros per 100 kilos for Fontanes and Challengers. Reka Rheinland is also maintaining prices at the level of the previous week with 26 euros for Fontane, 32 euros for Agria and 36 euros for Innovator.
