Europa: European Union launches "Potatoes Forever!" campaign

The European Union has launched "Potatoes Forever!", a campaign aimed at promoting sustainable potato cultivation and consumption throughout Europe.

Funded by the European Union and set for 2024, this initiative is not merely a promotion of the potato but marks an important step towards sustainable agricultural practices. Central to the "Potatoes Forever!" initiative is a profound respect for nature, urging all stakeholders in the potato industry to adopt environmentally friendly practices. This campaign aims to bridge the consumer awareness gap regarding the sustainable practices from farm to table.

The initiative emphasizes minimizing environmental impact, responding to climate change, and encouraging industry-wide participation in adopting eco-friendly practices. It targets adults aged 35-49 and spans three years, employing tactics such as press relations, media partnerships, and dedicated exhibitions at agricultural shows. The campaign aligns with the EU’s "Farm to Fork" strategy, promoting sustainable food practices and positioning the potato as a key player in sustainable agriculture.
