Argentina (Balcarce): Frozen potato producer announces its permanent closure

Finca Balcarce announced this Tuesday its decision to close its doors and end its operations after several years dedicated to work, investment and development in the city.

In an official statement, the company indicated that this decision is due to "an increasingly challenging context for the industry," characterized by a loss of competitiveness, a constant increase in operating costs, and a significant reduction in consumption, factors that have directly affected its operations.

The company emphasized that the decision "was not taken lightly or hastily." Despite the efforts invested to maintain operations and adapt to the new economic conditions, current circumstances do not allow the project to continue sustainably and viably.

Among the shared reflections, they proudly highlighted having generated employment, invested in national industry, and forged relationships that went beyond the strictly commercial sphere.

Finally, Finca Balcarce closed its statement admitting that this stage ends "with sadness, but with the peace of mind of having done everything possible to keep this project going until the very last moment." The statement concluded with a hopeful message: "It’s not goodbye. It’s see you later."
