Rusia: More than 3,400 hectares allocated for potatoes in Tambov region
In the Tambov region, work on planting potatoes has been completed. Most of the potato fields are located in the Staroyuryevsky district; 890 hectares.
Over 600 hectares are occupied by potatoes in the Michurinsky district. Slightly less than 600 hectares of ‘black soil’ are allocated for cultivation in the Sosnovsky district.
Growers of the Tambov region have planted 500 hectares of potatoes this year.
Tambov agricultural producers use high-quality seeds to increase crop yields, introduce modern technologies, including expanding irrigated areas every year. In addition, farmers competently apply fertilizers in the fields.
